The Spain international made his first appearance at Emirates Stadium as a Chelsea player back on 26 April after opting to join the Stamford Bridge outfit from Barcelona last summer.
Fabregas was initially subjected to jeers from the home fans during the game but the 28-year-old felt that his return to the north London club’s ground was overall a positive one.
Fabregas is quoted as saying by Metro: “There was some (booing) at the beginning, but at the end of the game it was very nice.
“It is difficult because obviously I know that I played there for many years. I know the pitch and the memories do come back to you, but you have to be professional and get the three points for your team.
“Well, that’s what I hoped for. As it turned out the (0-0) draw was a very good result for us.”
Fabregas has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea first-team since his move to the west London club last summer.
He has made 18 assists and scored three goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the west London side, helping them to win their fourth top-flight title.
He will be expecting to feature when Chelsea travel to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Monday night.
