Daley Blind demands Man United reaction against West Brom

Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind says the Red Devils want to put things right after two-game losing run

Daley Blind has urged Manchester United to respond to a two-game losing run with victory over West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils slumped to back-to-back defeats by Chelsea and Everton in the Premier League after previously racking up a six-game winning streak.

I think the team wants to show a reaction to the last two games

Louis van Gaal’s side are still clear favourites to finish in the final Champions League spot after their closest rivals Liverpool lost 1-0 to Hull City on Tuesday night.

United midfielder Blind wants to see the Red Devils react to their recent disappointing form against Tony Pulis’ side.

“When you lose 3-0 at Everton then you are very disappointed, that’s true,” Blind told United’s website.

“We want to make it right in the next game. To be honest, I wanted to play this game against West Brom on Monday [the day after losing at Everton] so that we could move on straight away. I think the team wants to show a reaction to the last two games.

“It is the first time this season that we have lost twice in a row, but now we have a home game with the crowd behind us. We saw how our fans reacted in the game at Everton. They were amazing, they were there until the end and I think that is great support.

“We have to pay them back by winning against West Brom.”

The Netherlands international missed United’s 1-0 defeat by Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month.

However, Blind returned to the side for a 3-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park.

Blind has scored two goals and has made two assists in 20 Premier League appearances for United this season after his £16m move from Ajax following last summer’s World Cup.
