Mesut Ozil says Arsenal are relishing their Premier League showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday as they look to secure a route into next season’s Champions League.

The Gunners head to Old Trafford in third place in the Premier League table and looking to return to winning ways after their surprise 1-0 loss to Swansea City at Emirates Stadium last Monday.

United, meanwhile, need just one more win from their remaining two games to guarantee a top-four finish and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Arsenal were 2-1 winners at Old Trafford back in March as Arsene Wenger’s men booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with victory over the Red Devils.

And Ozil believes that he and his team-mates should draw plenty of confidence from that game ahead of their return to Old Trafford this weekend.

Speaking to dfb.de, Ozil said: “Playing against Manchester United in the Premier League is always special.

“We will look to put on a brave performance, as we did back in March in the FA Cup encounter. If we do that, we have all chances to secure a direct Champions League qualifying spot.”

United were 2-1 winners over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the Premier League back in November.
