Phil Jones has warned Arsenal that Manchester United will head into Sunday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford full of confidence and desperate to end the season on a high.

The Red Devils are on course to secure qualification for next season’s Champions League after they returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace last weekend.

United are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and two points behind Arsenal having played one game more than Arsene Wenger’s men.

And Jones says that he and his team-mates will be fully motivated when they take on the Gunners at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Jones told United’s website: “We’ll look forward to it [the Arsenal game].

“It’s a game that everyone wants to play in, it’s a big game and we want to win it. We want to finish the season on a high and as strongly as possible.

“Hopefully we can finish with two more wins.”

United are six points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool heading into their final two games of the season as they look to break back into the top four.

The Red Devils need just one win from their remaining two games to guarantee a spot in Europe’s elite club competition next season.
