Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez uploads a snap from the early days of his career at Cobreloa

Alexis Sanchez has given Arsenal supporters an intriguing glimpse into the early days of his career in Chile.

The 26-year-old has blossomed into one of the Premier League’s biggest stars following his £35m move to Arsenal from La Liga giants Barcelona last summer.

However, Sanchez started out at more humble beginnings after the forward broke through at Chile side Cobreloa in 2005.

And the Gunners forward, who was nominated for the PFA player of the year but lost out to Chelsea star Eden Hazard, uploaded a snap as a 16-year-old playing for Cobreloa.

Sanchez posted the above snap and wrote on Instagram: “very nice memories, with Cobreloa, I was 16 years old..”

Sanchez has scored 14 goals and has made eight assists in 30 Premier League appearances for the north London side this season.
