Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli appears to be enjoying training sessions at Melwood

Mario Balotelli may be having a miserable time on the pitch, but the Liverpool striker is still enjoying training sessions at Melwood.

The Italy international hasn’t scored a goal from the Reds since 19 February after his late penalty kick against Besiktas in the Europa League.

Balotelli didn’t feature in a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Anfield last weekend, although the 24-year-old could feature against Chelsea on Sunday.

The former Manchester City man certainly looked in high spirits alongside captain Steven Gerrard after the striker uploaded a snap from Liverpool’s training session on Friday.

Balotelli wrote the following caption: “@stevengerrard Liverpool We do have fun”

The Liverpool striker, who won the Premier League title with Manchester City in 2012, has scored four goals in 26 appearances in all competitions this season.

Balotelli joined the Reds in a £16m deal from AC Milan last summer after Luis Suarez joined La Liga giants Barcelona in a £75m deal.
