Jose Enrique hailed Mamadou Sakho as one of the nicest guys in football after the Liverpool defenders posed for a snap on the Anfield pitch on Saturday.

Enrique and Sakho didn’t feature in a 3-1 defeat by Crystal Palace in the Premier League as Liverpool couldn’t sign off with a home win following a disappointing season.

However, the uncapped Spanish defender and established France international still looked in high spirits despite another poor results for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Enrique posted the above photo and wrote on Instagram: “With one of the best guys I ever meet in football . Love you mi amigo”

The Spanish defender has endured a miserable campaign for the Merseyside outfit after having spent most of the season sidelined with a long-standing knee problem.

Sakho, meanwhile, returned from an absence to help Liverpool go on a 13-game unbeaten run in the Premier League before a 2-1 defeat by Manchester United in March.
