Juan Mata has paid tribute to “top guy” Radamel Falcao ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils forward has endured a miserable debut campaign in the Premier League after the Colombia international joined the 20-time English champions on a season-long loan from Monaco last summer.

The Spain international appears to have become firm friends with the 29-year-old forward, who is expected to return to the Ligue 1 side at the end of his loan spell in the summer transfer window.

And Mata, who is expected to line up against Palace at Old Trafford, posted a photo of the pair during a training session at Carrington on Friday afternoon.

Mata posted the above photo and wrote: “With my friend the Tiger. Top man. @falcao. @manchesterunited”

Falcao has scored four goals and made four assists in 23 Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season.
