Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo returns to first-team training after his recent adductor injury

Marcos Rojo has expressed his delight to be training with Manchester United team-mates ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

The Argentina international was struggling with an adductor injury which had kept the centre-half sidelined since a 4-2 victory over Manchester City in the derby on 12 April.

However, the United defender took to his Instagram page on Friday night to reveal that he has been training with his Red Devils colleagues at Carrington.

Rojo posted the above photo and wrote: “happy to be back training with the team”

Rojo has endured an injury-hit campaign for the Red Devils after a £16m move to the 20-time English champions from Portugese outfit Spoting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

The South American has made just 20 Premier League appearances for Louis van Gaal’s side this season, racking up less than 1,000 minutes of top-flight action.

The United defender was part of the Argentina side that finished as World Cup runners-up last season.
