Novak Djokovic took to social media on Sunday to reveal his delight at winning his fourth Rome Masters title by beating Roger Federer in straight sets on Sunday.

The world No1 coasted to a 6-4 6-3 win over Federer at the Foro Italico to wrap up his fourth Masters triumph of the year.

Djokovic posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “This one was special! To perform the way I did out there today in front of my parents and all of you means so much!

“I especially want to thank the city, the people, and the fans of Rome for the support and gratitude you showed me all week on and off the court. It was like home away from home. Grazie mille! #Nolefam #ibi15 #Roma”

He then shared the photo below and added: “To the #ibi15 crew! You guys were great! Until next time…Ciao a tutti!! #Roma”
