Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado is ready for a big game against Manchester City on Sunday

Roberto Soldado appears to be ready for Tottenham Hotspur’s “big game” against Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The north London side are looking to keep pace with Liverpool in the race to secure a spot in next season’s Europa League competition.

Brendan Rodgers’ side moved three points clear of Tottenham on Saturday thanks to a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Anfield.

But Spurs striker Soldado is ready to help Mauricio Pochettino’s side close the gap when City make the trip to north London.

Soldado wrote: “Good morning to everyone!!Big game today. @spursofficial – man.city”

The Spain international has started just seven Premier League games under manager Pochettino this season.

The 29-year-old scored his only league goal of the campaign against Everton at White Hart Lane on 30 November.

Soldado has scored just 16 goals in 71 appearances in all competitions for Spurs since he moved to the Premier League club in a £27.5m deal from Valencia in 2013.
