Steven Gerrard looked in high spirits despite nearing the end of his Reds career as Liverpool trained ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.

The 34-year-old midfielder is gearing up for his final game at Anfield ahead of the former England captain’s move to Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy in the summer transfer window.

Gerrard, who scored in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend, has won the Champions League, Uefa Cup, two FA Cups and three League Cups during a 17-year career.

The Liverpool skipper didn’t appear to be dwelling on his final days as a Reds player during the club’s training session at Melwood on Thursday.

Raheem Sterling, meanwhile, was in good form despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the England international’s future amid reported interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Liverpool supporters will be happy to see defender Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique in training after their injury-plagued campaigns.

The Reds failed to beat Chelsea last weekend which means the Merseyside outfit are all but certain not to finish in fourth place.
