Mathieu Debuchy is quick to thank Tomas Rosicky after Petr Cech joined Arsenal from Chelsea on Monday
Mathieu Debuchy took to social media to thank Tomas Rosicky after Arsenal clinched the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea on Monday.
The Gunners wrapped up a deal believed to be worth around £10m to sign the Czech Republic international after days of speculation linking the goalkeeper with a transfer to Emirates Stadium.
Rosicky is believed to have played a role in helping to convince his Czech team-mate to consider a move across London to Arsenal.
And Debuchy praised the Arsenal midfielder for his part in helping to make the deal happen.
Debuchy posted the picture above of Rosicky and Cech on his Instagram account on Tuesday morning and wrote: “Well done Tom! Mission complete. What a sign #PetrCech #WelcomeCech”
The goalkeeper, who fell behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge last season, has more than 114 caps for the Czech Republic and joined Chelsea from Rennes back in 2004.
Cech has already passed his medical with the Gunners and will join up with his new team-mates shortly to begin preparations for the 2015-16 season.
