Arsenal transfers: Gunners to announce Petr Cech deal on Monday – report

Petr Cech looks set to be unveiled as an Arsenal player next week, according to reports

Arsenal will announce the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea on Monday, according to reports.

The Chelsea goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a transfer across London to join the Gunners after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge last season.

The north London club were reported to be on the verge of wrapping up a deal to sign the Czech Republic interntional last week.

But now it appears that Arsenal are poised to announce the capture of the 33-year-old shot-stopper as the Gunners’ first signing of the summer transfer window.

Daily Telegraph reporter Jason Burt tweeted that a deal is set to go through next week on Saturday afternoon.

Cech has won four Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Europa League, four FA Cup crowns and three League Cups during his 11-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
