Arsenal transfers: Petr Cech’s representatives tight-lipped on Gunners reports
Petr Cech's PR representatives refuse to confirm that the Chelsea goalkeeper's move to Arsenal is imminent
Petr Cech’s representatives are remaining tight-lipped on recent speculation linking the Chelsea goalkeeper with an imminent move to Arsenal.
The Daily Mail announced that Cech had agreed an £11m move to the FA Cup winners from the Premier League champions on Monday evening.
The newspaper claimed that Cech will sign a three-year deal with the north London side with Arsenal set to agree an £11m fee with Chelsea.
However, Cech retweeted a post from his representatives, Sports PR Company, which reiterated the deal had not been completed.
When The Sport Review asked Sports PR Company about the speculation surrounding their client Cech on Tuesday morning, one of their representatives responded:
“We aren’t making any comment on speculation. As we said yesterday when there is any transfer news regarding Petr Cech, he will confirm it.”
Cech has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent months after falling behind Belgium international Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order.
The Czech has won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League during an 11-year stay at the west London side.
