Former Chelsea defender impressed by Liverpool’s signings
Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot takes to Twitter following Liverpool's deal to sign Roberto Firmino
Mario Melchiot appears to be impressed by Liverpool’s efficient transfer activity this summer.
The Reds completed their fifth signing since the end of the 2014/15 campaign after Brazil international Roberto Firmino agreed a £29m move from Hoffenheim on Wednesday morning.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has already snapped up Manchester City midfielder James Milner, Burnley striker Danny Ings and Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan free transfers this summer.
The five-time European champions also completed a deal to sign Charlton Athletic centre-half Joe Gomez earlier this month.
And former Chelsea defender Melchiot took to Twitter to seemingly praise Liverpool for their swift transfer business.

Liverpool spent over £110m on new signings last summer as Uruguay international Luis Suarez moved to Barcelona in a £75m deal.
Rodgers signed Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren in big-money deals from Southampton, whilst Lazar Markovic joined in a £20m transfer from Benfica.
However, perhaps the most disappointing of all Liverpool’s signings last summer was Mario Balotelli, who scored just one Premier League goal last term.
