Gary Neville demands Liverpool legend honours bet on Spurs flop
Manchester United legend Gary Neville reveals Jamie Carragher bet that Paulinho would score 15 goals in a season
Jamie Carragher could be set for the ultimate humiliation if Gary Neville gets his way.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho looks likely to end his White Hart Lane nightmare amid talk of a move to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrand.
The 26-year-old started just seven games in all competitions last season after falling out-of-favour under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Paulinho has scored just six Premier League goals for the north London side following his £17m move from Brazilian side Corinthians in 2013.
According to Neville, Carragher brazenly bet his Sky Sports colleague that Paulinho would score 15 goals in his first season – and he wants the former Liverpool defender to follow through with the forfeit.
Neville wrote on BreatheSport: “Jamie Carragher once bet me Paulinho would score 15 PL goals in his first season. The forfeit was we had to wear a united or Liverpool shirt for the day! Get that shirt on!!!”
The former England defender also called on Twitter to pressure Carragher into seeing through his bet.
Twitter @Carra23 needs to wear a G.Nev united shirt for the day! He's lost a bet that Paulinho wouldn't score 15 PL goals in a season!

Paulinho was briefly Tottenham’s club-record signing before Spurs splurged £27.5m on Roberto Soldado followed by the addition of £31.5m man Erik Lamela from Roma later in the summer of 2013.
The Sao Paulo-born midfielder has scored five goals in 32 appearances for Brazil.
