Harry Kane sets himself targets at Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Kane underlines his desire to become one of the best players in the world at Tottenham
Harry Kane says he is determined to win trophies with Tottenham Hotspur on his way to becoming one of the best players in the world.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar season for Spurs last term as he made a name for himself as one of the top strikers in the Premier League.
Kane was one of the top flight’s standout performers last season and scored 30 goals in all competitions on his way to winning the PFA young player of the year award.
And the striker is determined to keep improving in the coming seasons.
Kane told ESPN: “[I want] to win trophies and be one of the best players in the world.
“The top players around the world are doing it week-in week-out, scoring goals and putting in great performances, and that’s what I aim to achieve.
“I want to win trophies, not just for club, for country too. That’s always been the aim and always will be.
“I proved to myself this season I can do it at the top level. That’s always great confidence to have. Physically I have got stronger and get better.
“It doesn’t stop here. This is just the start for me. I know what I have to do to keep improving.”
Kane’s fine form has seen him linked with a potential summer transfer away from White Hart Lane in recent weeks.
Manchester United are reported to be keen on signing the forward, whose contract at Spurs expires in 2020.
However, Kane recently underlined his desire to stay at Tottenham and continue his development at the north London club.
