Harry Redknapp: Tottenham could sell Harry Kane to Man United for £45m
Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham Hotspur could cash in on Harry Kane if the money is right this summer
Harry Redknapp believes that Tottenham Hotspur would be willing to sell Harry Kane to Manchester United for £45m this summer.
The striker’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks following his stunning breakthrough season for the Lilywhites.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign for Spurs last term as he made a name for himself as one of the top strikers in the Premier League.
Kane was one of the top flight’s standout performers last season and scored 30 goals in all competitions on his way to winning the PFA young player of the year award.
His fine form has seen him linked with a big-money transfer to Manchester United, despite the player’s insistence that he is happy at White Hart Lane.
And former Spurs boss Redknapp reckons that the north London club would consider cashing in on the forward should a big enough bid arrive this summer.
Redknapp wrote on Kicca: “If they were to sell their best player – the one shining light from last season – then what message would it send to the fans? The club have to keep their best players if they’re to progress.
“But if United were to put in a £45m bid I reckon Daniel [Levy] will look at it in the cold light of day and if he thinks Kane isn’t worth that amount of money then I can see him doing the deal.
“But if he was to leave then it would be a terrible signal to send to the fans.”
