Man United transfers: Alexandre Lacazette’s agent discusses transfer talk
Alexandre Lacazette's agent says that Lyon will have to improve their contract offer this summer
Alexandre Lacazette’s agent has warned Lyon that the French club will need to improve the contract that they have offered his client as the France international continues to be linked with a transfer to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has been touted as a target for Manchester United in recent weeks as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of his season season in charge of the club.
Lacazette is understood to have been attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs after hitting 27 goals for Lyon this season and being named the French player of the year.
However, although the player’s agent has confirmed that there have been some “significant” offers from abroad, he says that regular playing time in the build-up to Euro 2016 is crucial for his client.
David Venditelli told Le Progres: “Ultimatums and media pressure won’t change our demands, which OL are aware of.
“The offers we’ve had from abroad are very significant in terms of finances, but they don’t give all the guarantees Alexandre will flourish with just a year to go till the Euros.”
Lacazette scored 31 goals in 33 games this season and has also notched up six assists.
