Man United transfers: Carlos Bacca open to summer move, says expert
Guillem Balague says Carlos Bacca would be open to a summer transfer to the Premier League
Carlos Bacca would be open to a summer transfer to the Premier League amid reported interest from Manchester United, according to Guillem Balague.
Bacca has been touted as a target for both Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks after scoring 28 goals in all competitions last season.
United are believed to be considering a bid for the Sevilla forward as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford ahead of his second season in charge at the club.
Now, Spanish football expert Balague has revealed that Bacca informed Sevilla of his desire to leave the club at the end of the season as he continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
Balague told Sky Sports: “Carlos Bacca at the end of the season told Sevilla he would like a way out.
“Sevilla would like him to stay, but he does know there is interest from the Premier League and Italy.
“He likes the idea of coming to the Premier League, of course he has been abroad for a few years and would be happy to continue that progression abroad.
“Although Sevilla expect an offer, it hasn’t arrived yet.”
Earlier on Monday, Sevilla sporting director Monchi has warned any potential suitors that the Spanish club have no intention of cashing in on the forward unless the release clause is met.
