Man United transfers: Ronald Koeman delivers Morgan Schneiderlin update
Ronald Koeman says Southampton are yet to receive a "serious" bid from Manchester United for Morgan Schneiderlin
Ronald Koeman has insisted that Southampton are yet to receive a “serious” bid from Manchester United for Morgan Schneiderlin this summer.
The France international has been heavily linked with a transfer away from St Mary’s in recent weeks and United are thought to be closing in on a deal to secure his services.
Arsenal have also been touted as a possible destination for the midfielder, but it is understood that the Red Devils are now leading the chase for the midfielder.
However, Saints boss Koeman says that the south coast club are yet to receive a serious bid for the Frenchman.
Koeman is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “We have the situation with Morgan Schneiderlin, we will have to wait what will happen.
“Until now, we have not a serious bid for him from Man United. We will wait, but OK – that’s business that normally starts from now.”
The Southampton star has scored 15 goals in 260 games in all competitions for the south-coast club over the past seven seasons.
Earlier this week, speculation linking the midfielder with a transfer to United gathered pace when the club’s photographer followed the midfielder on Twitter.
