Mesut Ozil: Why I want Champions League glory with Arsenal
Mesut Ozil is eyeing Champions League glory with Arsenal next season

Mesut Ozil has expressed his desire to help Arsenal win the Champions League next season.
The Gunners came up short in Europe’s elite club competition this term as they were dumped out at the last-16 stage by Monaco.
Arsenal, who lost the 2006 final to Barcelona, have never won the Champions League.
And Ozil is determined to help Arsene Wenger’s men achieve success in the competition in the coming campaigns.
“Well, winning the World Cup is obviously the pinnacle for us players because it’s the biggest event in football,” Ozil told BT Sport.
“Among clubs, the Champions League is similarly the greatest title available and at Arsenal our aim is to win this title and I want to win it as a player.
“That’s why we want to do everything in our power to fulfil this objective along with winning more domestic honours, of course!”
The Germany playmaker also revealed that he would love Arsenal to be drawn against his former side Real Madrid in next season’s competition.
He continued: “I’d like to play against Real Madrid, against my old friends. And then I’d get to see Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Ozil enjoyed a solid second half to the season at Arsenal after missing a large portion of the campaign due to a serious knee injury.
He played most of last weekend’s FA Cup final triumph after scoring four goals and notching up five assists for the Gunners as Arsenal finish third in the Premier League table and qualified for the group stage of next season’s Champions League.
