Alexis Sanchez took to social media on Saturday afternoon to post a reflective message alongside a photo of himself all smiles with Mathieu Flamini in an Arsenal training session from last season.

The Chile international is currently on international duty at the Copa America as his country gear up for their semi-final clash against Peru on Tuesday.

And the 26-year-old appeared to be in a reflective mood on Saturday, as he shared the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Of all contagious things, laughter is the only one that doesn’t hurt. Joy depends more on your heart, than on actual circumstances.”

The Chile international was one of the Premier League’s standout performers following his £35m transfer to the north London club from Barcelona last summer.

He scored 16 goals and providing eight assists for his team-mates in 35 appearances.
