John Terry is not letting his holiday in Portugal distract him from keeping fit during the off-season
John Terry is clearly focused on staying fit during the summer as the Chelsea captain gears up for the Blues’ Premier League title defence next term.
The Blues skipper is currently enjoying some downtime in Portugal but that has not distracted the former England captain from keeping in shape ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.
Terry took to Instagram to share a picture of his breakfast in the sun, along with his time for a 5km run as he bids to keep his fitness levels up during the off-season.
Terry shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Smashed my time on last years run in Portugal this morning. Gym twice a day getting ready for pre season. #hameggscoffee”
The Chelsea captain helped Jose Mourinho’s men win their fourth Premier League title last season, netting five goals for the Blues.
He also helped Jose Mourinho’s men beat Tottenham Hotspur to win the League Cup at Wembley.
The veteran Chelsea defender has scored 39 Premier League goals throughout his decorated Blues career, beating David Unsworth’s tally of 38 goals.
Terry, who was named in the PFA team of the year after an impressive season for the champions, was capped 78 times by England, scoring six goals for his country. He announced his international retirement in September 2012.
