Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor doesn't want to leave Spurs judging by his latest Instagram post

Emmanuel Adebayor says he can’t wait to show his passion for Tottenham Hotspur next season.

The Togo international has been linked with a move away from the north London side after barely featuring under manager Mauricio Pochettino last term.

The Spurs manager is reportedly ready to use the 31-year-old striker as a makeweight in a deal to sign coveted Belgium striker Christian Benteke from Aston Villa.

Adebayor is currently away on international duty following the end of the Premier League season, and the Spurs striker took to Instagram to clarify his future.

Adebayor wrote: “Feeling really fresh after my goal. Can’t wait to come back to Tottenham and show everyone the passion I have for the club. Looking forward to pre season! #COYS”

The former Arsenal and Manchester City forward hasn’t started a game since their 1-0 victory over Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup in January.

The Spurs striker scored two goals in 13 Premier League appearances last season. However, the African has started just nine top-flight games.
