Jordan Henderson was busy working out with Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell as the Liverpool looked to keep his fitness ticking over ahead of pre-season.
The 25-year-old midfielder is hotly-tipped to succeed Steven Gerrard as Reds captain after the former England international played his last game for his boyhood club in May.
Henderson has blossomed into one of Brendan Rodgers’s most important players in recent months after he initially struggled following his move from Sunderland in 2011.
But the Liverpool midfielder’s secret to success appears to be a sickening work ethic if Henderson’s gym session on Tuesday afternoon is any indication.
Henderson wrote the following caption on his Instagram page: “@fraizercampbell putting me through my paces”
The England man was one of the Merseyside outfit’s more consistent performers this season, racking up over 3,000 minutes of Premier League action.
Henderson, who signed a new long-term deal with the five-time European champions last month, has scored six goals and has made nine assists in 36 Premier League games last term.
