Roberto Firmino has been snapped in a Liverpool shirt for the first time following his move from Hoffenheim on Wednesday morning.

The Brazil international has agreed a long-term deal with the Merseyside outfit pending the successful completion of a medical.

The 23-year-old playmaker joins the 18-time English champions after a four-year stay at Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.

And Liverpool’s Instagram page uploaded a snap of the £29m man in a Reds shirt for the first time on Wednesday evening.

The caption read: “And here is another snap of #LFC’s newest signing, Roberto Firmino! #FirminoLFC”

The South American also posed with Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre with his new strip for an earlier snap on the photo-sharing app.

Liverpool’s social media team wrote: “Here is a glimpse of new #LFC signing Roberto Firmino wearing the famous red shirt. #FirminoLFC”

Firmino has scored 47 goals in 151 appearances in league and cup for the German club following his move from Figueirense in December 2010.
