Christian Eriksen and his girlfriend couldn’t disguise their sheer delight after a day of soaking up the sun and swimming on Monday afternoon.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has earned his summer break after having carried the north London side with the help of Harry Kane for much of the 2014/15 season.

Eriksen, who moved to White Hart Lane from Ajax in 2013, was doing his family duty last week as he joined his sister for a special family occasion.

But the Spurs midfielder and his girlfriend, Sabrina Kvist Jensen, were ecstatic to be on their summer holiday judging by his Instagram post.

Eriksen wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Look what nice weather do to you #sun #sun #sun #swim #swim #swim #girlfriend”

Eriksen has scored three goals and has made 10 assists in 38 Premier League games, featuring in each of the north London side’s top-flight matches last term.

The Denmark international has been a huge hit at the League Cup runners-up after he moved to Spurs from Ajax in an £11m deal in 2013.
