Watch Chelsea star return to training at Cobham – six weeks before new season
John Terry is taking his pre-season routine pretty seriously...
John Terry is certainly taking his fitness seriously as he gears up for Chelsea’s Premier League title defence.
The Blues captain played every minute of Chelsea’s triumphant Premier League campaign last season as Jose Mourinho steered the west London club to their fourth top-flight crown.
And the 34-year-old England international appears determined to get himself in the best physical shape possible as he bids to help Chelsea defend their title.
Terry, who spent some time in Dubai following the end of the Premier League season, posted the series of videos above on his Instagram account on Saturday and wrote: “Great to have the ball at my feet today doing a few circuits and a few box to box runs. Getting ready for pre season @nikefootball”
The veteran Chelsea defender has scored 39 Premier League goals throughout his decorated Blues career, beating David Unsworth’s tally of 38 goals.
Terry, who was named in the PFA team of the year after an impressive season for the champions, was capped 78 times by England, scoring six goals for his country. He announced his international retirement in September 2012.
