Adam and more: Twitter reacts after Palace sign Cabaye

Charlie Adam and Peter Ramage take to Twitter after Crystal Palace sign Yohan Cabaye in a £10m deal from PSG

Crystal Palace have completed the £10m signing of Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old midfielder has penned a three-year deal and will link up with his former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park.

The Palace manager made Cabaye the east London club’s record signing after having previously worked with the midfielder at Newcastle United.

And it was no surprise to see many tweets from ex-professionals and pundits who wanted to have their say on Palace’s big-money move for the former Newcastle man.

BT Sport Presenter Jake Humphrey (@mrjakehumphrey) predicted that this move will prove a good one for Palace but not so good for his team Norwich: “Cabaye to Palace. Sign of what we’re up against @NorwichCityFC. Time to start doing business… (Two FB’s left-sided winger, 2 strikers)”

Former professional football player Dean Ashton (@Dean36ashton10) expressed his delight at Crystal Palace’s new signing: @Cabaye to Palace great signing!! Feeding Bolasie & Zaha!! Pardew would have made him feel like the coulb would evolve around him!!”

Another ex-footballer Don Hutchison (@donhutch4) doesn’t believe many other clubs can compete with Palace’s midfield: “Wow could there be a more exciting midfield in the Prem!!!! Zaha Cabaye Jedinak Bolasie.”

Crystal Palace defender Peter Ramage (@peterramage83) welcomed the new midfielder to the club by saying the following: “ What a signing for the Eagles…#Cabaye.”

Stoke and Scotland international midfielder Charlie Adam thinks Palace have acquired a great player: “What a top signing from @CPFC with Yohan Cabaye.”

Finally, Norwich City coach Darren Huckerby (@hucks6dh6) added: “Cabaye will be a cracking signing for Palace, let’s hope the paper work doesn’t go through before the 1st game of the season! #Ncfc”
