Arsenal transfers: Miralem Pjanic won’t rule out summer move
Reported Liverpool and Arsenal target Miralem Pjanic has refused to rule out a transfer to the Premier League
Miralem Pjanic has refused to rule out a transfer to the Premier League amid the speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal or Liverpool.
The Roma midfielder has been touted as a target for both the Gunners and the Reds as both Premier League sides look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
The Bosnia international, who joined Roma from Lyon back in 2011, scored five goals and made 10 assists in 34 Serie A appearances for the Italian outfit last season.
And although the midfielder says that he is happy at Roma, he refused to rule out a possible move away from the club in the future.
Pjanic is quoted as saying by talkSPORT: “I’m happy where I am but anything can happen. When you’re a footballer you never know where you’ll play next season.
“Anything can happen, it’s never simple for a player, but I try to live calmly and not listen to rumours that the journalists talk about.
“I look only to the pitch, to my work, and then what happens, happens.
“I’m happy though, the club is always working to do better and improve. I repeat I’m happy where I am and I’m focused on becoming one of the best in the world.”
Pjanic, who made six Champions League appearances last season, is under contact with Roma until 2018.
Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United on the opening weekend of the season.
