Eden Hazard discuses his Chelsea future
Eden Hazard suggests that he is planning to stay at Chelsea for the foreseeable future
Eden Hazard has hinted that he is planning to stay at Chelsea for a long time as the Belgian playmaker prepares for his fourth season at the west London club.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar season for Jose Mourinho’s men last term as his top form helped to fire Chelsea to a Premier League and League Cup double.
Hazard scored 14 goals and made nine assists in the top flight as Chelsea won their fourth league title ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.
The playmaker, who netted three times in the Champions League last term, was also voted the PFA player of the year.
Hazard has been linked with a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain in the past, despite him having signed a new £57m Chelsea contract back in February.
And his latest comments appear to underling his commitment to the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Hazard told Chelsea’s website: “Now I am starting my fourth season here and I am an old man at Chelsea!
“I know all the guys and the staff well. I feel settled and comfortable with everybody and I think it’s very good to stay at one club for a long time.”
Chelsea kick off their Premier League title defence with a home clash against Swansea City on the opening day of the campaign.
