Liverpool legend likens Reds rebel Raheem Sterling to biblical character
Former Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann likens Raheem Sterling to biblical Lazarus
Dietmar Hamann showcased his knowledge of the Bible on Friday morning as he taunted want-away Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling on Twitter.
The Reds youngster is reported to have turned up for training at Melwood on Friday morning after calling in sick the past two days amid interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
Sterling refused to sign a £100,000-a-week deal with the Reds earlier this year, and the Liverpool forward’s agent has made it clear his client won’t be penning any new deals with the Merseyside club.
And Hamann likened Sterling to biblical character Lazarus after the 20-year-old opted to show up at the club’s training ground this morning.
Lazarus reported back for training.

The City and United target scored seven goals and made seven assists in 35 Premier League appearances last season.
Liverpool have signed six players in the summer transfer window, including Brazil international Roberto Firmino.
James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan all completed free tranfers to Anfield, whilst Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Clyne also completed moves.
