Man United legend sends message to Liverpool signing Christian Benteke
Former Aston Villa and Manchester United defender Paul McGrath sends a message to new Liverpool signing Christian Benteke
Paul McGrath has sent Christian Benteke a good luck message on Twitter after the striker joined Liverpool from Aston Villa.
The Belgium international put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the five-time European champions on Wednesday after Liverpool activated £32.5m contract release clause in his contract.
Benteke played a vital role in Villa’s escape from relegation last season as he netted 12 times in his last 13 games, which took his overall tally to 49 goals in 102 games during three seasons at the Premier League club.
And former Manchester United and Villa defender McGrath congratulated Benteke on his switch to Liverpool, before he issued a word of warning to the Belgian.
@bentekechris20 Right back at ya big man , enjoy your new move . Only not when back at Villa !

Benteke is Liverpool’s seventh signing of the summer, and the towering striker is also the club’s second most-expensive signing in the Merseyside outfit’s history.
Brendan Rodgers has also signed Brazil international Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim and Burnley striker Danny Ings on a free transfer to bolster his attacking options.
