Man United transfers: Bastian Schweinsteiger urged to leave Bayern

German football expert Jan Aage Fjortoft believes Bastian Schweinsteiger would be perfect for Manchester United

Bastian Schweinsteiger should leave Bayern Munich and join Manchester United this summer, according to Jan Aage Fjortoft.

The Germany international’s future at the Bundesliga champions remains unclear despite manager Pep Guardiola reiterating his desire to keep the midfielder.

Schweinsteiger has just under a year remaining on his current contract with the Munich side, which has prompted reported interest from the Red Devils.

Former Nottingham Forest man Fjortoft, who is one of Sky’s Germany football experts, believes Schweinsteiger would be the perfect signing for United.

Schweinsteiger has won eight Bundesliga titles, eight German Cups and the Champions League during a 14-year spell at Bayern Munich.

The Germany midfielder has scored a credible 67 goals in 500 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions throughout his career at Allianz Arena.
