Man United transfers: Matteo Darmian will be good signing, says ex-Red Devil
Former Man United defender Danny Higginbotham runs the rule over Red Devils target Matteo Darmian
Matteo Darmian will be a very good signing for Manchester United amid reports the Red Devils are closing in on the Torino defender, according to Danny Higginbotham.
The Italy international was heavily linked with a £12m move to Old Trafford on Wednesday morning after reports emerged that United have been in talks with the full-back for over four months.
Darmian has been steadily improving at his Serie A employers over the past couple of seasons and the former AC Milan defender was named in the league’s team of the year in 2014.
Former United defender Higginbotham feels Darmian can help solve what has been a problem position for Louis van Gaal in the early stages of his Red Devils reign.
Darmian will be a very good signing for @ManUtd if and when it happens. Playing with a diamond means a lot will be expected from full backs

Darmian started his career at AC Milan. He made his first-team debut under Carlo Ancelotti at just 16-years-old in the Coppa Italia
His World Cup debut was against England in the opening match of World Cup in 2014.
Darmian has won two man-of-the-match awards in two matches against Roy Hodgson’s England after he impressed in a 1-1 draw in Turin earlier this year.
