Man United transfers: Morgan Schneiderlin’s move confirmed by Saints star
Southampton star Victor Wanyama wishes Man United target Morgan Schneiderlin good luck with his "new challenge"
Victor Wanyama has confirmed Morgan Schneiderlin is set to seal a move away from Southampton amid reports of an imminent transfer to Manchester United.
On Sunday night, speculation in the British media claimed that the Red Devils had agreed a big-money deal with the Saints to sign the coveted Frenchman.
Louis van Gaal has already added World Cup winner Bastin Schweinsteiger and Italy international Matteo Darmian to his Red Devils squad in recent days.
And if Wanyama’s post is accurate, Schneiderlin appears to be on the brink of becoming United’s fourth signing of a busy summer transfer window.
Wanyama wrote the following caption on his Instagram page: “2 years playing alongside you was a short time but we archived alot together , I wish you all the best in your new challenge you deserve it @schneiderlinmo4”
The Southampton star has scored 15 goals in 260 games in all competitions for the south-coast club over the past seven seasons.
Last month, speculation linking the midfielder with a transfer to United gathered pace when the club’s photographer followed the midfielder on Twitter.
Schneiderlin has also been linked with a switch to Arsenal and Tottenham.
