Man United transfers: Real Madrid don’t want to sell Sergio Ramos, says expert

Real Madrid have rejected a £35m bid for Sergio Ramos from Manchester United, according to Guillem Balague

Real Madrid don’t want to sell Sergio Ramos to Manchester United despite receiving a £35m offer, according to La Liga expert Guillem Balague.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a big-money move to the Red Devils in recent months after talks over a new contract with Los Blancos stalled.

Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to sign a centre-half after United were previously linked with a bid for Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels.

And it appears the United manager may have to switch his attention to another target after Balague claimed Madrid have no intention of selling Ramos this summer.

Ramos has won three La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey crowns and the Champions League.

The Real Madrid defender is set to become a free agent in the summer of 2017 unless the World Cup winner agrees a new deal with the 10-time European champions.

The World Cup winner scored four goals in 42 games in all competitions for Los Blancos last term.
