Memphis Depay has revealed his delight with how he is settling into life at Manchester United following his summer move from PSV Eindhoven.

The Netherlands winger scored his first goal for the Premier League club in Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes as Louis van Gaal’s men continue their preparations for the new Premier League season.

Depay appears to be settling in at United with ease, and the midfielder admits that he is thrilled to be a Manchester United player.

Depay told MUTV: “I really enjoy it.

“[I’m] serious – every day. To wake up as a Manchester United player is awesome. I’ve settled in well and the boys are very nice.

The Netherlands international scored 22 goals in 28 league appearances as he helped PSV end Ajax’s dominance in Eredivisie last season.

The Red Devils are next in action on their pre-season tour of the United States against Champions League holders Barcelona on 25 July, before concluding their-pre-season preparations with a clash against Paris Saint-Germain on 30 July.

Van Gaal’s United side, who finished fourth last season, kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on 8 August.
