Mesut Ozil took to social media to send his best wishes to Abou Diaby after the former Arsenal midfielder joined Marseille on a free transfer this week.

The 29-year-old Diaby played 180 matches for Arsenal, scoring 19 goals and notching up 16 assists, but his recent injury struggles meant that he only made 17 senior appearances for the Gunners over the last three seasons.
Arsenal take on Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield clash at Wembley before preparing for their Premier League opener against West Ham United at Emirates Stadium the following weekend.
The Gunners finished third and retained their FA Cup title last season and last weekend won the Emirates Cup for the first time since 2010 during their pre-season preparations.
