New Man United signing certain of Red Devils title challenge
Morgan Schneiderlin is convinced that Manchester United will mount a serious title challenge next season
Morgan Schneiderlin is convinced that Manchester United have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League title next season, as well as “mix it” in the Champions League.
The France international midfielder signed for the Red Devils from Southampton on Monday after months of speculation linking him with a transfer away from St Mary’s.
Louis van Gaal has also added Bastian Schweinsteiger, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian to United’s ranks as he looks to transform his side into genuine Premier League title contenders in his second campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
And United new-boy Schneiderlin is confident that United will be able to challenge for silverware on all fronts next season following his switch to Old Trafford.
Schneiderlin told a news conference in the United States on Wednesday: “It’s a must for the club to be in the top four and winning the title is very important.
“With the players we have in the team you see there is a lot of quality. We are ready to do our best and then mix it with the Champions League.
“These are the two main targets for the club – but we want to win everything, it’s as simple as that.”
United kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the season.
