Adnan Januzaj is raring to go ahead of Manchester United’s opening game of the pre-season tour against Club America in Seattle on Saturday morning.

The Red Devils have been stateside since Monday after Louis van Gaal completed the signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Morgan Schneiderlin.

Januzaj is also facing increased competition for a starting place from Netherlands international Memphis Depay, who moved to United in a £25m deal from PSV Eindhoven in May.

And the Belgium forward is eagerly anticipating some game time against Club America at the home of the Seattle Sounders.

Januzaj wrote on his Instagram page: “Looking forward to the first game of a new season! #mufc #MUtour”

The 20-year-old struggled to secure a regular starting place in Louis van Gaal’s line-up last season.

Januzaj made just seven starts in the Premier League, although he made a further 11 appearances from the bench.

The winger, who initially impressed under Van Gaal’s predecessor David Moyes, made a further three appearances in the cup competitions.
