Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is all smiles during the north London side's training session on Tuesday

Jack Wilshere is feeling positive ahead of the new Premier League season after the Arsenal midfielder posted an enthused message for his followers on Instagram.

The England international trained with his Gunners team-mates in Singapore after Arsene Wenger’s squad touched down in the Asian country late on Sunday evening.

Wilshere and his Arsenal team-mates did an open training session at the Singapore Sports Hub ahead of their match against the Singapore Select XI on Wednesday.

And the 23-year-old midfielder couldn’t wipe a smile from his face in a photo that he uploaded on the photo-sharing app.

Wilshere wrote: “Never forget to smile”

He was limited to just nine Premier League starts for Arsene Wenger’s men last season after suffering a serious ankle injury back in November and requiring surgery.

He scored two goals and made one assist in 14 Premier League games for the Gunners this season.

Wilshere is thought to be a summer transfer target for Manchester City, however Arsenal are reported to be ready to offer the midfielder a new contract to keep him at Emirates Stadium.
