Mesut Ozil was put on selfie duty as the Arsenal midfielder snapped a string of photos in Singapore on Wednesday.

The Germany international didn’t feature in the north London side’s opening game of their pre-season tour in Asia as the Gunners eased to a 4-0 win against Singapore Select XI.

Ozil, who still impressed Singapore fans with a stylish bit of skill against Laurent Koscielny during a training session, was out and about in Singapore with his smartphone.

And the World Cup winner, who moved to Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, was impressed by the Asian city’s impressive skyline.

Ozil wrote on the photo-sharing app: “The #Singapore skyline is simply awesome #asiatour2015 #marinabay”

Ozil scored four goals and notched up five assists for the Gunners as Arsenal finished third in the Premier League table and qualified for the group stage of next season’s Champions League.

The World Cup winner, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, missed a large portion of last season due to a knee injury.

Arsenal kick off the new Premier League season with a home clash against West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on the opening weekend of the campaign.
