Serge Gnabry is determined to fight for his first-team place at Arsenal next season
Serge Gnabry took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to declare his intention of fighting for a first-team place at Arsenal next season after joining up for pre-season training with the north London side.
Gnabry took part in an open training session with the Gunners at Emirates Stadium in front of some of the club’s fans on Tuesday morning as he looks to work on his fitness ahead of the new campaign.
He uploaded the series of photos above onto his Instagram account and wrote: “I’m back in training after my European Under-21 Championships holidays since last week … the mission is again since then: full power & giving everything #afc #COYG”
Gnabry endured a frustrating season last term and failed to make a single appearance for the Gunners after struggling with injury.
Gnabry’s last first-team appearance for Arsenal came during their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich back in March 2014.
He has made a total of 13 first-team appearances for the north London side since joining the club from VfB Stuttgart back in 2011.
The attacking midfielder has two caps for Germany’s Under-21 side and is yet to represent his country at senior level.
