Alexis Sanchez is still reflecting on his Copa America triumph with Chile after his Arsenal team-mates return to training

Alexis Sanchez is clearly thrilled to have helped Chile secure Copa America glory as the Arsenal star prepares to enjoy some well-earned downtime.

Many of the forward’s Arsenal team-mates returned to London to report for pre-season training on Monday after their summer holidays but Sanchez is yet to put his feet up after helping his country secure Copa America glory in Saturday’s final against Argentina.

Sanchez posted the picture above on his Instagram account on Tuesday morning and wrote: “Moment of joy, anger, sadness etc… Enjoy”

Sanchez helped Arsenal finish in third place in the Premier League to ensure Arsene Wenger’s side qualified directly for the Champions League group stage next season.

He scored 16 goals and providing eight assists for his team-mates in 35 appearances.

He also scored both goals in the FA Cup semi-final against Reading and helped the Gunners end the season with silverware after scoring in the final against Aston Villa to secure a 4-0 victory at Wembley.
