Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is enjoying his summer break

Alexis Sanchez was all smiles as he posed for a selfie with his brother and some of his friends as he continues to enjoy his extended summer holiday.

The 26-year-old forward is currently enjoying some well-earned downtime in his native homeland after helping to fire his country to Copa America glory earlier this month.

And the Arsenal star looked in good spirits as he uploaded the picture above onto his Instagram account on Wednesday and wrote: “With friends and brother.”

The Chile international, who joined Arsenal from Barcelona last summer, is set to miss the Gunners’ Premier League opener against West Ham United on 9 August after being given an extended summer break.

He is not due to report back to Arsenal for pre-season training until 3 August following his summer holiday.

Most of his Arsenal team-mates, meanwhile, will be in action in the Emirates Cup at their home ground this weekend as they continue their pre-season preparations ahead of their Community Shield clash against Chelsea on 2 August.
