Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger hails his talented team-mates on Twitter

Bastian Schweinsteiger has paid tribute to Manchester United’s other signings on his Twitter account on Thursday.

The Germany international completed a £15m move to the Red Devils from Bayern Munich on Saturday, ending weeks of speculation linking the midfielder with a switch to Old Trafford.

Schweinsteiger has been joined by Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, Italy international Matteo Darmian and PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay.

And the World Cup winner to his Twitter account to post a photo from their unveiling to the media on Wednesday afternoon.

United manager Louis van Gaal, who succeeded David Moyes at Old Trafford in May 2014, has previously worked with Schweinsteiger during his spell in charge at the Allianz Arena.

Schweinsteiger won eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League during a decorated career at Bayern.

The 30-year-old has scored 23 goals in 111 appearances for the German national team, helping Joachim Low’s men to win the World Cup in 2014.
