Bastian Schweinsteiger takes to social media to reflect on his Manchester United debut
Bastian Schweinsteiger took to social media to reveal his delight at making his Manchester United debut during the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Club America on Friday night.
Schweinsteiger was given his first run-out in a United shirt after joining the Premier League club from Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Fellow new signing Morgan Schneiderlin also made his debut in the game and scored after just five minutes to hand Louis van Gaal’s side a pre-season victory.
And Schweinsteiger was clearly proud of making his debut, as he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Played my first match for Manchester United. Great feeling!”
The new United signing won eight Bundesliga titles, eight German Cups and the Champions League during a 14-year spell at Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils kick off their Premier League campaign with a tricky home game against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season.
